Children’s own interests should guide this purpose. Perhaps they want to learn how a tadpole is different from a fullgrown frog or how many stages a frog goes through from egg to full-grown frog. STRATEGY SUPPORT: GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS Remind children that people use graphic organizers to help them understand and remember information. Review with children the three-column chart on the last page and look at the diagram on page 12. Let them know that this diagram shows the stages in a frog’s life, and they should look at it when they fill out the chart. Tell children that they should also use the photos in the book as well as written information to give them more details to use in the chart. COMPREHENSION QUESTIONS PA
