Since Vietnam's admission to WTO, Vietnam Customs plays an important role in the process of trade facilitation. For Vietnam Customs, customs official are key assets. Then if I become a custom official, I will try to my best to be honest, devotive and always eager to learn new things. Firstly, I will be honest in all tasks assigned, as well as in my daily life. I will not receive any illegal benefits from businesses and persons. This is of great importance, since the Vietnam Customs helps the Government collect import-export duties, and any dishonesty with under the table money for custom officials can lead to the loss of tax revenue. Secondly, I will be also devotive to the job, because I understand the importance of being a custom official. I will try to put much focus to be excellent in every task, so that the clearance of goods is facilitated and convenient for businesses and individuals. Finally, I will always try to learn new things to do my job at the best way. Since Vietnam joined WTO, the social-economic conditions have been changing at a fast pace. Therefore, eagerness to learn is critical for me to adapt with changing working environment and conduct my tasks successfully. To sum up, if I am honored to be a custom official, I will try my best to be always honest, devotive and eager to learn new things. These all valuable attributes will help me be a successful custom official. Đề 2: Anh/chị hãy nêu các nhiệm vụ của hải quan Việt Nam. Vietnam became a member of WTO in early 2007, resulting in increases in the movement of goods moving in and out of the country. In order to help facilitate trade, Vietnam Customs plays an important role with five main tasks. Firstly, they help the Government collect export and import duties to ensure stable Government's revenue, of which those duties often account for a large part. With stable and sufficient revenue from taxes, the Vietnamese Government can have long-term fiscal polices as well as long term macro ones. Secondly, the Customs of Vietnam helps the Government control the movement of goods across the border. This task is very important to prevent the import of illegal goods like counterfeits, weapons..., ensuring national security. Thirdly, the prevention of illegal transportation of goods or persons is one of Vietnam Customs tasks. This will help collect duties effectively, and create a fairly competitive environment, since every businesses has to pay duties equally. Fourthly, the Vietnam Customs will make statistics of goods inflow and outflow of the country, so that the Government can have suitable macro-policies to balance the import-export of the economy Finally, based on experiences and the process of carrying out tasks, Vietnam Customs will suggest procedures and policies applied to goods imported-exported to facilitate trade. To sum up, through effective and efficient conduct of the five main tasks, Vietnam Customs will increase the participation of industry in the global market place and contribute natural significantly to the economic competitiveness of Vietnam. In the stage of recruitment, there have been around 2000 candidates, showing that many Vietnamese people want to join Vietnam Customs. And I am also one candidate with the very firm wish to become a custom official. In view of that wish, I will explain the reasons why I want to join the Vietnam Customs.
