Tampa 20 Vocabulary 1. eve- the evening or day before a special event. 2. brave- feeling or showing no fear. 3. paste- used for sticking things together. 4. cube- a 3 dimensional square. 5. snake- a reptile that has a long body, no limbs, and eats small animals. 6. flame- the glowing gas that makes up part of a fire. 7. private- something that is not public and personal. 8. belong- to be a part of something or in a proper place. 9. elect- to select by vote or to make a choice. 10. protect- to cover or shield from something that would destroy or injure. 11. develop- something that is gained or made gradually. 12. details- the specifics of an object or a conversation. 13. sidewalk- a paved walkway at the side of a street or road. 14. topic- the subject or main idea or a speech or story. 15. attic- a room or space right under the roof of a building. 16. offer- to present for acceptance or rejection. 17. suffer- to feel pain or to experience something unpleasant. 18. valley- an area of lowland between ranges of hills or mountains. 19. dentist- someone who cares, treats, and repairs teeth. 20. blossom- to unfold like a flower. 21. addition- the adding of numbers to obtain their sum. 22. rattle- a series of short, continuous sounds. 23. vegetable- the edible part of a plant. 24. bundle- a number of things that are wrapped together. 25. cradle- a baby’s bed that rocks or something that holds or supports an item. 26. rifle- a long gun. 27. mammal- an animal that has a backbone and whose skin is covered by hair. 28. factual- something that is based of facts or proof.
